Distraction

I have started 2022 with deciding to make some specific intentions. The past few years have had certain events that seemed to define the entire year. 2019 we were working on a home reno that did last from January through December. It was the focus of that year. 2020 was covid, and getting through. 2021 … Continue reading Distraction

“Do you want me to clear your drive?” He motioned and yelled over the sound of his snow-blower. He was pointing across the road to my driveway, where I just had a shovel and a bit of a hill up to the house. Well, it is polite to accept an offer, isn’t it? I couldn’t … Continue reading Gold

What I just love on days when we are feeling a little blue because of Covid and poor weather is coming home and chatting with my husband while cooking. My sister Clare wore this headband every waking moment when she was around 3 or 4. It was made by my friend Ciara as a fair fundraiser. Clare was obsessed with her bumblebee headband, she completely adored it.

From the portfolio.. I painted this when Covid just began. We were at home, we were about to re-do the landscape in the yard and this sideways arbutus limb had to go. I always liked that it acted as a natural ‘fence’ and barrier from the main road we live on. But it had died, leaves were no longer growing on it and we had another plan for the front. Before the chainsaw came out, I wanted to immortalize it on this canvas 🤗 my #pleinair painting 🎨
