Remember

“It takes constantly remembering until we stop forgetting.” I was listening again to the Jay Shetty with Joe Dispenza podcast (I’ve written about it before, it was the episode of June 7, 2021). I’ve listened to certain segments of it a thousand times, likely more.

The discussion of this segment being about being aware and ‘conscious’ of our environment. And this is where Wisdom comes in. “Wisdom is the memory of the experience without the emotional charge,” Dr. Dispenza explains. With wisdom and introspection, we can approach any challenge in a new way. The goal being to always improve your level of awareness, level of consciousness. With the higher frequencies of the improved awareness means we are better able to cope with any ‘problem’ or create with better ideas and expanded creativity.

I like the sentence about remembering. There is so much to think about. So much to remind ourselves of daily. Improving thoughts, emotions and consciousness is an ongoing, never ending process. It’s learning and work that I find I’ll never grow tired of.

So the challenge is keeping it all in mind. All the lessons. Some tips or thoughts I find extremely helpful and impactful for a period of time, and then I come across something else that really speaks to me. Perhaps it all unfolds perfectly at the right time. That’s what I like to imagine. I think 6 years ago, I bought the book, the Power of Now. Just recently, I thought of it and wanted to have a refresh on this one. And again now, it’s so impactful. But I had forgotten it for these years in between and the book’s message. I had also picked up The Power of Your Subconscious Mind this year after a 5 year gap. I soaked it in twice this time, back to back for the purpose of the topic of this writing – to remember. To let the learnings set in further. This Podcast that I reference, I’d listened to it many times in 2021, when it was aired. I since then have listened to one particular 2 minute clip over a thousand times. Days on end, in the car. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Then some months later as well. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Or while I am cooking. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. And to this day. (If you’re curious, the time stamps are from 1:12:45- 1:14:29). Then other times, I will ‘rewind’ (back up) and be reminded of the rest of the conversation. Such as the above about Wisdom. And the importance of Trial and Error for our own unfoldment. The instructions of ‘learn the formula’ for that which you want to become. Set an intention and make it happen.

Many great lessons from Autobiography of a Yogi, Power vs. Force, the Alchemist. And from so many great resources.. Mel Robbins, Michael Beckwith, Jay Shetty, Kate Northrup. The key is being able to translate how teachings are relevant, and that they do translate to your own life. And as you keep reviewing and keep expanding, learning comes at a greater and greater understanding each time. You might have consciously understood something the first time, but getting it on a deeper level happens with the progression.

This is why it’s been so important to me to remember, and then I’ll get to the point that I stop forgetting. It will just be how I Am.

Sending Love,

Devon
