Mind Your Own

It seems quite paradoxical to me that everything in this world ~ in terms of energy ~ is all connected, but at the same time, we must protect our energy. Must build your own light and vibration and like a watcher at the gate, guard from negativity entering. To fiercely protect yourself from misery intruding your peace of mind.

I’ve realized that my imagination can run away on me and create fears from what would amount to be nothing more than dust. Fear has taken hold and festered. As emotions magnify thoughts, compound them… enlarge them exponentially… allowing fear thoughts to continue can be detrimental. As fear is simply the emotion, the feeling… of something imagined.

Which brings us to choice:

What books do you want to pick up? How will they make you feel? Will they anger you? Make you feel hopeless or hopeful?

What social media do you want to engage in? That which expands and encourages? Or that with pulls you down a rabbit hole of wasted time and brain-cell-melting silliness?

What news? Gossip? Television? Do you engage to perpetuate or to come to acceptance and understanding? I’ve noticed that some people feel that everyone should fight for a cause, and if you don’t back them up, they take it personally or believe that you take the opposite side. Whereas it’s not that at all. It’s simply about not engaging. It’s sanity. It’s putting every ounce of energy you have into forward and upward momentum. It’s doing everything you can on that inner-self work.

Parts of the world might feel like a dumpster fire around you. But you’re no good to yourself or anyone if you join in the dumpster. It sounds completely selfish, but I am a believer in this: if you want to be the absolutely best version of yourself, you have to stoke the flame of that light within you.

Everything is connected which makes us so sensitive to feeling the vibrations and energy of others. Where you have control, is with the energy that you allow. It starts with paying attention. How you feel lets you know what that energy is. And then you can be aware of the energy you are giving off, and the energy you don’t want to allow in. Just don’t give your attention to that which you do not want. Focus on the energy that you do want. Put feeling behind the thoughts that you do want. Let your heart expand around it. And that’s how you mind your own. Be mindful of that inner work. The energy to fan that flame.
